During a channelling session recently I asked Spirit to speak about time. I received the following:

“It is wonderful living in a timeless dimension. So many of your concerns in your Earth plane have to do with time. Meetings, appointments, changing of seasons, things changing over time, things decaying over time…and yet, in a timeless dimension you don’t have any of that.

What human beings don’t realise is living in time is quite a stressful thing to be doing because everything changes in time, that’s one thing. You are just constantly observing change. And secondly, always having to be at a certain place, at a certain time, is very stressful. Having to be at work at a certain time. And then you might get stuck in a traffic jam on your way to work—there’s added stress there. Having to get meals ready for a certain time, annual functions that are celebrated at a certain time every year, whether you feel like it or not, and that’s what being stuck in time does. It is not a peaceful way to be living. When you move into a timeless dimension you will be able to see the comparison.

Time also leads to loss, apparent loss, in your dream world. You love someone and they move away or they die. It could be a human being or it could be an animal that you love. A cat, a dog or a horse that dies after only a few years. Cats and dogs don’t live as long as human beings, do they? So, you notice the passage of time more when you have pets around you. They come and they live with you and they give you such joy and then they go, and on and on and on. And that’s another drawback of time. Nothing is forever. But in eternity, which is the exact opposite of time of course, you don’t have these constant feelings of gain and loss. There’s just a constant level of peace, contentment and joy.”
